Synopsis :
The company Ibérica de Danza, founded in 1993 by Manuel de Segovia and Violeta Ruiz, has pioneered a form of modern dance faithfully based on Spanish traditional dancing.The liveliness of the music and movements opens up to completely new inspirational grounds and takes the dancing of Spanish villages onto the world stage.The performance, Iberian Dances is a selection of the award-winning Manuel Segovia’s choreographies. Combined with the richness of the costume design, the quality of the dancers, the music and the aesthetic of the stage elements through multimedia presentations - the performance is truly a unique experience.

Workshop:

Besides the performance, the group will also conduct workshops, which will cover three traditional dances from different Spanish regions; the vibrant “seguidillas” from La Mancha, the popular “sevillanas” from Andalusia and the Celtic origin “muñeiras” from Galicia.

The workshops are open to all aged 12 years and above. You are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Ladies are also encouraged to bring high heel shoes for dancing, flared skirt and castanets.
